Body, Soul and Spirit Connection

HoChi Universal Love cultivation encompasses the physical body, the soul body and the spirit. The physical body is the body we are able to see and touch. The soul body consists of sensations, emotions and thoughts; it is also sometimes referred to as the energy body. We are aware of our soul body because we are able to have sensations, feel emotions and think thoughts. Spirit, it is a little less obvious. Spirit is a lot like electricity, appliances work when electricity is turned on; we are all alive because our spirit is present.

Our body, soul and spirit are interconnected. The connection can be easily understood by using the computer as an example. The actual computer is the physical hardware, the software programs control the behavior of the computer, and the electricity runs the computer. Our physical body can be likened to the hardware, our soul body likened to the software programs, and our spirit likened to the electricity.

When we are born, we are all endowed with spirit, the bio-electricity of life; we use this bio-electricity to run our lives. Like a newly charged battery, this bio-electricity is strongest in newborns, but is slowly depleted over time as we live our daily lives. Many of the ailments and effects of aging are due to a depletion of this bio-electricity – low battery syndrome. Once the battery runs out, we die. While one would expect to see people die at of old age, these days we are seeing many young people die for no apparent reason – their battery simply runs out.
